Grand Canyon is one of the Wonders of the World. River Colorado has caused a deep canyon, a feast to the eyes. It was accorded National Park status in 1919. It covers an area of 1,218,375 acres on the Colorado plateau in the Arizona Province. Enjoy some of the snaps taken by me during my visit to the US.

Mana on the Indo-China border

Mana lies on the Himalyas in the border between India and China. The Vyasa Cave, Origin of Saraswati River are spots of interest.

Once the Sage Vyasa was meditating in a cave here. Disturbed by the noise of the river, he requested the Lordess of Knowledge to reduce the noise in vain. This made him angry and cursed that She became invisible. After a fervent appeal by the other Gods, he modified the curse and allowed Her to be visible only here in Mana! Hrishikesh-Badri Trip

Hrishikesh is the starting place for one who undertakes his trip to Vishal Badrinath temple on the Himalyas. Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula are here where Rama and His brother Lakshman meditated to wipe away the sin committed by killing Rawana, the demon, who was a Brahmin by birth. We can also see the spot where Lord Siva held the Ganges flowing from the Heavens on His locks to protect the Earth from being ruined.
